Cities:
Dallol

Sundol is a massive continent covered primarily by desert, except to the north where mountains replace the sandy landscape. Its only city is Dallol, which is ruled by a God Emperor and the Noble Houses.

Geography and Climate:
Most of its landscape has been shaped over time by wind and includes sand dunes, sand seas called ergs, barren stone plateaus, gravel plains, dry valleys and salt flats. Around 25% of the desert is sand dunes, some of which reach over 500 ft (152 m) in height. Most of the water found in Sundol today is in the form of seasonal or intermittent streams. The only permanent river in the desert is the Iteru River that flows from Dallol to the sea. Fresh water in Sundol is found in underground aquifers and in areas where this water reaches the surface, there are oases and sometimes small towns or settlements belonging to one of the many tribes are found around here. Since the amount of water and topography varies based on location, the Sundol Desert is divided into different geographic zones.

The center of the desert found south of “Oasis” is considered hyper-arid and has little to no vegetation. Many attempts have been made to explore this vast desert but all who have returned reported an impenetrable wall of razor sharp wind. Not to mention the fact that even getting that far is a feat in and of itself in the harsh conditions. The northwestern area of Sundol is dominated primarily by salt flats with little to now water but it is rich in minerals.

The temperature in Sundol varies dependent on the region. The hottest part being the southern desert, The temperature here typically ranges from 120°F (48°C) during the day and -15°F (-26°C) at night, but has known to have lows of 30°F (-1°C) and highs of 190° (87°C) at some points in the year. The northern and more populated areas have an average annual temperature of 86°F (30°C) but during the hottest months temperatures can exceed 122°F (50°C), with the highest temperature ever recorded at 136°F (58°C).

Economy:
Sundol i known for its large marketplace called the bazaar. Items from all over the world can be found here, even from far away places such as Darom. Nearly anything can be found in the bazaar, from simple necessities to magic artifacts. Many also go to the bazaar seeking supplies for travel across the desert. Sundol is one of the few places in the world where slavery is still legal. People are often attacked by pirates on the open sea and taken hostage, then brought to Sundol to be sold off.

Religion:
The Primary Religion in Sundol is the Imperial Cult, It is devoted to the worship of the God-Emperor as the ascended divinity and leader of humanity. Those who believe in the Cult’s teachings hold that the Emperor is a living spiritual entity and the only true divinity of humanity. The Imperial Cult is lead by the Ecclesiarchy, who devote their lives to spreading the Word of the Emperor and doing His will. Almost all variants on the Imperial Cult are tolerated by the Ecclesiarchy’s priests, but all worship of the Emperor must comply with certain Imperial values including, but not limited to: unquestioning political loyalty to the Noble Houses Of Sundol and the various agents and servants on the Emperor, diligence in carrying out the Emperor’s will, belief in the Emperor’s ultimate divinity, and conscious contributions to the Imperium’s overall well-being,
